Fiscal Sponsorship & How Donations Work
Benjamin’s Hands Foundation operates under a fiscal sponsorship with:
Southeast Utah Community Development Corporation (SUCDC)
Fiscal sponsorship allows us to operate under a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit umbrella while we continue building and growing our foundation. This partnership ensures that donations are handled responsibly, transparently, and in full compliance with nonprofit regulations.
How It Works
When a donation is received:
- The funds are processed through SUCDC
- The donation is designated specifically for Benjamin’s Hands Foundation
- SUCDC maintains financial oversight and compliance
- Funds are allocated to support our mission and programs
This structure allows us to focus on serving the unsheltered while ensuring proper stewardship of every dollar entrusted to us.
Administrative Fee Transparency
SUCDC retains 3% of each donation for administrative costs.
This small percentage covers:
- Accounting oversight
- Donation processing
- Tax receipting
- Financial reporting
- Compliance and recordkeeping
The remaining 97% directly supports Benjamin’s Hands Foundation programs, including care kits, backpacks, outreach, and community assistance initiatives.
We believe in complete transparency. Every dollar is handled with integrity and purpose.
How to Donate by Check
If you would like to donate by check, please follow these steps:
- Make the check payable to:
Southeast Utah Community Development Corporation
- In the memo line, write:
“For Benjamin’s Hands Foundation”
- Mail or deliver the check as instructed by SUCDC or through arrangements made with our foundation team.
By including “For Benjamin’s Hands Foundation” in the memo line, you ensure your donation is properly designated for our work.
